Wow, it's been a while.

I had a very strong urge to log in and blog today. I hadn't felt that need in a long time and I don't even know if half of my bloggy friends still blog. It's amazing how Jumble Mash use to be apart of my daily life and then life got really busy. I'm not saying I'm making a comeback, but I am saying, I miss it.

I opened up the blog and realized the very last thing I wrote about was introducing my new niece to the world. She's now an amazingly beautiful and smart 1+ year old who I still cannot get enough of. I follow her around all the time with my camera and these are the looks I usually get. I imagine she is saying, "Would you puh-lease stop taking pictures and just play with me?"
Also since then, I of course got married to the love of my life. The wedding was fabulous and as nervous as I was and at most times overwhelmed, it was all so worth it. It did go by in a blur, but the blur is full of happy memories and very little hiccups.
But even before that, in March of last year, our landlord approached us and told us they wanted to sell the house we were living in. So Hubby and I took the plunge and we bought our first house. A one story, three bedroom, two bathroom little house in a cul-de-sac with a huge fenced in back yard for our dog to play. You remember Bowen, don't you? We thought about getting another dog when we moved in for him to play with but then we were given a whole new task. Two little baby kittens showed up at a co-workers house and needed a home. I was just going to take one, until I convinced Hubby that separating them was just cruel. And so, we took them both.

Now

Then

I am so very thankful that we did not separate them, because after a year, they still cannot get enough of each other. Charlie is the orange one and the cuddle bug. Ash is the little girl who only likes to be petted on her own terms. And don't worry, Bowen took them right under his wing...er...paw.
But all of that excitement, all of those changes don't even compare to what is in store for us next.

Stay tuned :)

Introducing...

The newest addition to the family. My little baby niece, Miss Nevaeh Marlene, born 2/10/12, 6lbs 15 ounces and 20 inches long.

I know I'm a few days late on letting you all know, but I'm having a real hard time sharing her. I don't even want Dad to hold her because he hogs her!
Unless of course she has a dirty diaper! Then I give her back! Haha.
She is the most amazing baby ever and I never in a million years imagined I'd love someone I just met so much. I keep trying to talk Little Sis into letting me keep her, but she hasn't given in yet.

Mom and baby are both doing great. We got the birth on video for Nevaeh to see when she gets older. It took a lot of convincing to get Little Sis to let me do that, but after she got the epidural she didn't care what was going on!

We were in the hospital for two days, Little Sis had to be induced because her blood pressure was running high. At 6:00 AM on Day 2, her water broke. At noon, she pushed for 2 minutes and 40 seconds and Nevaeh joined us. Life hasn't been the same since.

Peace.

Hello Long Lost Friend!

What has two thumbs and is a sucky blogger?

This girl.

I sorry.

I'll give you three guesses as to what's been keeping me for my beloved blog but you'll probably only need one.

Work.

I wish I could say that I'm busy traveling, spending time with friends, or even wedding planning, but no. Work is taking over my life.

But I did want to update you guys on one BIG thing that is happening right now. Most you know that my little sister is pregnant and I'm going to be an aunt in February. Well we finally found out that IT'S A GIRL!

So excited! She wanted to name her Nevaeh, which is heaven backwards. It took me an entire weekend to learn how to pronounce it. Nuh-va-uh. I still mess it up and call her Nee-Vuh. Fiance suggested Nivvy for short, so now we're calling her Nivvy Pooh. I think this kid may just hate us.

I miss you guys and hope everyone is well! <3

Second... I'M GOING TO BE AN AUNT!!!! My little sister just found out that she is six weeks pregnant.

Third...I'm pretty certain that between my wedding and Lil Sis having a baby, we're going to put Dad in a nut house.

Celebrate Good Times

Today is a day for celebration. Today marks my 100th post. Wow. 100 completely random topics and you all are still here. I love each and every one of you. {sniffles}

To celebrate my 100th post, I am going to throw myself a little party and you all are invited. Remember, no party is complete without balloons and cake.

If it were real, I'd submit it to Cake Wrecks

And some booze. I mean, what party is complete without at least a few dozen margaritas?

Now, for the guest of honor...

Me of course! And I have prepared a speech. {Clears throat}

Thank you, to all of my readers. You truly make blogging the best part of my day. Your comments make me smile, always.
I’ve met so many awesome blogging friends on here and that was something I never expected when I joined the blogosphere.
I started Jumble Mash back in July for a number of reasons. One, because I read blogs like Hyperbole and a Half, The Bloggess, and EPBOT everyday and decided that I wanted a place of my own. Two, because I wanted someone to listen to me while I ranted about different topics. And three, because I wanted something to escape to when I was bored or down.

Its original name was My Two Cents, but someone took it and has never posted a thing on the blog. Don’t you hate that? Like, don’t take a name and then do nothing with it. Grr. Anyways, then the name changed to Tress Says, but I hated that. So I went to an online thesaurus and typed in the word random. Right there in the list were two words side by side. Jumble and mash. It was love.

The first mascot of Jumble Mash was a cute little cartoon monkey, but I wasn’t really feeling it. I opened up Microsoft Paint one day and drew the pink turtle you see every time you come here. It was my own creation, and it just fits me.

I never really thought I would get so into blogging, but it sucked me right in. Every day, my brain is constantly thinking of the next thing I want to blog about. Every time something happens, I think to myself, “I’m totally blogging about that.”
And you all completely fascinate me. I never thought anyone would be interested in my thoughts and nonsense, but here you are, reading my 100th post.

Thank you. I wish you could all come to a real party. In my new huge back yard. We could drink margaritas until the wee hours of the morning and then I would go back to my computer and blog about what an awesome time I had.

P.S. I had every intention of having a giveaway, but through the moving process, Boyfriend and I are the ones that need free shit. So I'm going to have to save the giveaway for a later date.
