I hate taking life seriously

So random.

It has been a hectic few days.

I am going to be doing a lot of traveling for work over the course of the week, so I probably won't be around too much.

I am beginning to stress a bit and as I've said before, my work generates little stress. That's beginning to change with the new duties I've taken on. I don't like it. At all.

But my vacation is coming up in May and Boyfriend and I have our year anniversary coming up and I got him the COOLEST present ever. I'll tell you guys what it is after next week. Just in case he happens to read this. So for now, everyone take care and be safe. I'll be back soon and I hope you won't miss me too much.

Oh...one more thing...Pencilgirl over at Conquering the World gave me an award!

Thank you so much!! If you haven't checked out her blog, please do so. It's a wonderful read.

I have already gotten this award so if you'd like to see me be a good girl and follow the rules, go here.

Happy Sunday Awards

Well I've been taking a break this weekend, mostly because I'm lazy but also because it's Boyfriend's first weekend off since before Christmas so we are enjoying some time together. But I did log on this afternoon to see that I've been given some awards!!

Amber at Amber LaShell Rants gave me this beauty.

Thank you Amber! And since I've already gotten this one, I'll just direct you here if you want to see my 5 guilty pleasures. Now to pass it onto 3 other blogs.

1. The Giggle Fest
2. This and That
3. Unsound Reasoning

And the Becca over at My Life gave me these two gems.
Thank you so much Becca. You rock. I have received the Stylish Blogger Award already, so go here to see my answers. But this is the first LOL Award I've received. I LOVE IT. Here are the rules...

1.Link to the person who gave you this award. (In a post, or in your sidebar, wherever you have this)

2.Pass the award along to seven other people who post about at least slightly amusing things and tell them. Either by emailing them or commenting on a post, etc.

3.Say seven things about yourself that no one knows. (Or at least you think no one knows.)

4.Pass these rules on.

Seven bloggers that make me laugh? Here it goes.

Pink Shadow

So some of you may have no interest whatsoever in this post, so feel free to skip it. BUT for those of you that do care, DC Universe Online released Tuesday. And it is AWESOME. Okay, so some of the mechanics suck, like the camera, but all in all its amazing.

It's a massively multiplayer online game (MMO) like WoW, except you get to play around with super heroes. Or villains, whichever you prefer. Mostly, I just wanna show you my character.

Isn't she awesome!??! I'm totally not in love with the name, but I got tired of looking for a cooler one, so Pink Shadow it is! She has Mental Super Hero powers, she can fly, and she packs two pistols around. And she has pink eyes. And black high heeled boots. And awesome cleavage.

Making the character was half the fun. You can even choose different skin tones. Like you hero could look like a leopard if you like that kinda thing!

Also I want to give a HUGE thank you to The Empress from The Ranter's Box for giving me this award!

Ok, I'll shut up now. By the way, this classifies as a Half-Assed post.

They come in waves!

The lovely Thisisme over at Southhamsdarling gave me an award!
Stylish? Me? I'm not sure about that, but thank you so much Thisisme!

Apparently, the number of people I pass it on to is the number of things I have to tell about myself.

I would like to pass it on to four blogs that I absolutely LOVE.

Jess at It's a Big Deal, It is to me!
Amy at Life's Journey With a Smile
Mynx at Dribble...
A Bitch Called Mom

Now four things about me...

1. I would take 10 tattoos over a single piercing any day. I think piercings are terribly painful and I hate them.

2. I was a pharmacy technician for years and as soon as I got my National Certification which allows me to put CPhT at the end of my name, the coal company hired me. I haven't been employed as a technician since but I do still keep my certificate up to date.

3. It's January and I already have 3 Save the Date cards for weddings this year.

4. When I retire, I wanna live in Celebration, Florida.

Life is Good

Man, this is my weekend! I received another award today! Granted, it was from my Dad and he may be a little biased but I'll take it. Dad is super funny and has a great outlook on life. If you haven't already, stop what you are doing and go take a look. I'll wait.

Back? Ok. Where were we? Ah, yes, the award.

Yes, Life is definitely good.

There are rules to this award.

1. First, thank and link back to the person that gave the award.(Check)
2. Answer the 10 survey questions
3. Pass the award along to other bloggers whom you think are fantastic.
4. Contact the bloggers you have chosen to let them know about the award

1.  If you blog anonymously, are you happy doing this?  If you aren't anonymous, do you wish you started out anonymously, so that you could be anonymous now?  I am anonymous for the most part. Only a few of my friends and family members know of Jumble Mash. I like it that way mostly, but sometimes I wish I would just tell everyone. I'd love to just post on my Facebook about new blog posts. Maybe some day.

2.  Describe an incident that shows your inner stubborn side.  I don't think I really hide my stubbornness and there are probably a lot of incidents that prove that, but one thing that really sticks out is that I always have to have the last word in an argument.

3.  What do you see when you really look at yourself in the mirror?  I normally like what I see. I mean, I wish I still looked like I did in high school...but I'm comfortable in my skin for the most part.
4.  What is your favourite summer cold drink?  Sweet Tea Vodka and Lemonade
5.  When you take time for yourself, what do you do?  Blog, play Xbox, read, play video games, play on my iPad, take hot baths, nap, and shop.
6.  Is there something that you still want to accomplish in your life? There are a ton of things I still want to accomplish. But my goal at the moment is to finish getting my degree.
7.  When you attended school, were you the class clown, the class overachiever, the shy person, or always ditching? Hmm, I was never an overachiever or a class clown, but I wasn't shy either. So I'd say just an average student? I don't know. I did ditch a lot my senior year, but then again so did almost every senior.
8.  If you close your eyes and want to visualize a very poignant moment in your life, what would you see?  Um I don't really know. I may have to think about this one for a while.
9.  Is it easy for you to share your true self in your blog, or are you more comfortable writing posts about other people and events?  I have no problem sharing my true self. I don't exactly wear my heart on my sleeve, but all in all I'm a pretty open person.
10.  If you had the choice to sit down and read a book or talk on the phone, which would you do and why?  Read a book for sure. I normally dread talking on the phone.

Now to pass it on. I don't know how many I'm supposed to choose so I'll just pick a random number.

I guess I'm sweet!

Much to my delight, I logged into Blogger yesterday to see that the lovely Mynx gave me an award. She thinks I'm sweet.
I have to pass it on to three other bloggers that I think are sweet and list five guilty pleasures.

Guilty Pleasures? Hmmm.

1.Chick Flicks- I'm not a mushy person really. Never really have been. But when two lovers unite against all odds, I cry. When Jim and Pam got married on the Maid of the Mist, I cried. I love a good love story.

2. Bud Light- Keep your wine and champagne and even your liquor. I'll stick with my beer.

3. Twilight- Yes, I'm one of the girls that stand in line for hours at the midnight releases with her Team Jacob shirt on. I buy tickets way in advance for the theater showings and I get to the DVD releases way too early.

4. Making People Laugh- At large gatherings, family gatherings or even have a few friends over, I absolutely love when I make them laugh. Even just once.

5. Netflix- Seriously...I don't even know why we pay for Satellite TV. After we added Netflix to start streaming over the XBOX, we rarely even turn the satellite on.

Now to pass it on to three others. Picking three is difficult, but I'm going to go with....

Corey over at Wishing My life Were a Musical

Bubbles over at Bursts of Bubbles

Teresa over at The Middle Side of Life

All three of these blogs are excellent and you should definitely check them out. Thanks again to Mynx for passing it along to me.

Giggle, Wiggle and Jiggle

I have a story to share before we get into Giggle, Wiggle, and Jiggle. After reading Steph's blog and some others, I wanted to share with you my tale of learning that Santa wasn't real.

Once upon a time, when I was a young child around the age of eight, I heard a clatter in the kitchen.

I went out to investigate, thinking that maybe I would get to see Santa once and for all.

There, standing in the kitchen was my oldest step brother (about 13 at the time)  with Santa's cookies in his mouth and Santa's milk in his hand. And under the tree were presents that hadn't been there when I'd gone to sleep.

Me: What are you doing?

Brother: Ugh, Santa forgot to eat them.

Me:  Santa never forgets his cookies.

Brother: He, ugh, the reindeer, they... {he pauses and tries to think of something clever. then his face lights up because he's come up with something good.} He doesn't exist.

Me: Who doesn't?

Brother: Santa. The Easter Bunny. The Tooth Fairy. None of them.

Me: And how do you know?

Brother: Because, I'm older and all the older kids know these things.

Me: Did Mom tell you?

Brother: No, my dad did.

Me: Why didn't they tell me?

Brother: Because you are still a baby.

Me: I am not.

Then I proceeded to kick him, take his cookies and go back to bed. When I woke up the next morning, I was furious at my mom for not telling me the truth. Not so much that Santa wasn't real, but because I wasn't let in on the secret. My step brother got in sooooo much trouble.

When did you stop believing in Santa? Do you remember what happened?

Now, getting back to business. Can I change the rules to the award I created? Of course I can. It's my award.

Rules

1. Thank the person that gave you the award
2. Tell a funny story to accept the award...or at least a joke.
3. Only pass onto ONE other blogger.
4. Now stand up and do a happy dance.

So today instead of just doing a recommendation, I am going to give my award out. I have so many blogs in mind that I want to pass this along to, but since I've made the rule of only giving it to one person, I have chosen....

Talkative Taurus

If you haven't already, go check her out. She makes me laugh with her stories and even her comments crack me up.

Now, for the first time in a long time, I am choosing the Giggle Button occupant. Go check it out!

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas. I cannot believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve! I'm having Christmas at Dad's tonight and I CANNOT wait.

Aw, an early birthday present

Talkative Taurus gave me this award! I have no idea what the hell it means, but I LOVE IT. Thank you so much Krissy. You rock. Everyone should go check out her blog. She is fabulous and makes me smile!

I traced the award by a little ways and no one else seems to know what the rules are either so I'm just gonna pass it on to a few Jumble Mashers.

Barb at This and That- Mostly because I love her. Mostly because she is bad ass. And KINDA because she makes me cry sometimes a lot. She is an incredible writer, seriously.

Meg at O is Me- She likes cupcakes. The award has cupcakes on it. It was destiny. Seriously though, Meg is great. She is funny and so darn charming.

Hed at Hed Above Water- Hed is amazing. She writes from her soul. I love that about her.

Amy at Life's Journey With a Smile- Amy and I have a ton in common and it never stops surprising me. Her blog is wonderful and she is very dedicated to her readers.

Becca at My Life- I absolutely adore Becca. She is so family oriented and so darn sweet. She also makes every attempt to comment. Seriously, if I log in one day and she hasn't commented, I will call the authorities and fill out a missing persons report.

And the winners are....

I decided to make my own award because I haven't seen one floating around out there that gives credit to the humor. And that's really what most of us are trying to do right? Get a laugh? Even bloggers that have no interest in writing a humor blog are often funny without trying. To start it off, I'm going to pick a few of my favorite humor blogs. Trust me, you all make me laugh, but I don't think it would be fair to award it to everyone :)

In no particular order...

Simple Dude In a Complex World
Ramblings of an Emotional Idiot
Seriously??...Really?...Seriously?
Batcrap Crazy
Thoughts of an Oxymoron
The Ranter's Box
Wait in the Van

The only rule is to pay it forward. Pick at least 7 blogs that you find funny to pass it on to and be sure to contact them! Also, it never hurts to tell a funny story :)

Shiny Turkey Award!

Me, Myself and I from Ramblings of an Emotional Idiot has given me the Shiny Turkey Award.

Cool, huh? Thank you so much! Everyone needs to go over and check out her blog. She cracks me up!

Of course, there are rules to this award. I have to write about an experience that has to do with food, intoxication, cooking/baking or the holidays. Then, pass it on to a few blogs of my choice.

So first, here are the blogs I've chosen.

A Bitch Called Mom
Absolutely Narcissism
The Loaded Handbag

I cannot wait to hear their stories. I absolutely love these blogs.

I really had to think about what story I would tell because I wanted it to be about the holidays but I have so many holiday memories I wasn't sure which to choose.

But finally I chose to tell ya'll about a Christmas at my grandpa's house.

On my dad's side of the family, we have lost too many loved ones. My grandmother passed away when I was sixteen and three of four of my uncles have passed away. We've had Christmas in that house every year since I've been alive. It's different now, because so many people are missing.

But the last year that we were all together, was one of the best I can remember. My grandpa's house isn't big by any means. And my grandma had eight kids of her own, and then those kids had children. I have like 22 first cousins. Its ridiculous. We all crammed into that tiny house every Christmas and it was AWESOME.

That year,  my dad had bought my youngest cousin and ball pit. You know, like the ones at McDonald's? But the actual pit looked like a swimming pool and you actually had to blow it up and then pour the balls into it.

Well, they decided to go ahead and put it up right then and there. It took up the entire living room. Then my dad decided that he would get inside the ball pit with my little cousin.

Then, a war broke out.

It started with my little cousin throwing a ball at her dad. Then my dad threw a ball at my uncle. Then those little plastic multicolored terrors were flying through the house everywhere. My grandma was yelling at us, but no one was listening.

Balls were zooming passed by head and I could think of nothing better than to get out my video camera and document the whole thing. As soon as I started recording, a ball hit me right in the eye. The video shows me dropping the camera and cursing up a storm.

Then I picked the camera back up and watched. I was just an innocent bystander by I bet you I got hit about 100 times. The younger kids all started to join in (yes, it was only the adults at first) and the uncles started using the children as shields.

Then someone, and to this day no one will admit it, broke my grandma's lamp. She came into the living room and started collecting the balls from us and scolded each and every one of us. That video is very precious to me. And I wish I still had it. Someone stole my camera along with all of my tapes from my old apartment. At least I still have the memory.

Honesty is the Best Policy

Thanks to the awesome Mrs. Hyde at A Bitch Called Mom, I have won an award!
Honest Scrap. I love it! And if you haven't read Mrs. Hyde's blog, you need to get over there. Run. Don't walk. I'm pretty sure this award was made just for her because she says whatever is on her mind and whatever most of us are thinking and just don't say. So thank you Mrs. Hyde. You made my Friday so much better!

Of course, there are rules. I have to list ten honest things about myself. *Sigh*

1. For a small period of time in my life I was into drugs pretty badly. That was 7 years ago (holy crap) and have been drug free since.
2. The greatest person in my life is my dad.
3. My mother is a pyscho.
4. I hate when people fuss over me. Like after I had my surgery, everyone wanted to come see me. It annoys me to no end.
5. I absolutely cannot stand gay bashing. If I hear a complete stranger gay bash, I say something.
6. I don't like sharing my feelings with anyone other than BFF and Boyfriend. Everyone else gets the happy-go-lucky person they expect.
7. I get very aggravated when a person depends on me. Not that I'm undependable, I just hate the pressure. That's probably why I'm still waiting to have children. I need to get over that.
8. I am completely and utterly afraid of the dark.
9. Out of the 5 long term relationships I've had, Boyfriend is the only one that hasn't cheated on me. (Not to my knowledge and I don't think he ever would. If you are reading this Boyfriend, I will beat you down if you even think about it. :))
10. I asked for Candy Land for Christmas.

I don't know if anyone even cares about any of those things, but there ya go. I followed the rules because I'm honest!

Also there is no rule about passing the award along, but I'm going to anyways. Enjoy my blogging buddies!

It's a Big Deal, It is to me!
Thanks for that info, Aimee!
