AMAZING

My blogging pal, Hed, posted this awesome video on her blog today and I just had to share it. It's an AMAZING cover of Kid Cudi's song "Pursuit of Happiness" which happens to be my ring tone. Boyfriend is also a huge Kid Cudi fan so here ya go, love!

P.S. If you aren't reading Hed's blog, then what in the Hell are you waiting on? If you are reading it, then you have good taste:) Go there now!

Men Who Lack Female Supervision

I got this in an email the other day. Now I don't see me posting email forwards too often, but this was too funny not to share. And I may or may not have been too lazy busy to come up with my own material.

I.would.kill.

This was in no way intended to offend any of my male readers. I think it's hilarious and I am challenging a rebuttal. Can one of you blogger guys come up with a Women Who Lack Male Supervision post?

And I'm back.

Hi! I'm back...I think. Are you all still with me? Good. I missed you guys!! Hope your week was better than mine. I woke up yesterday morning, went to take the dog out in my pjs and instantly regretted not putting on warmer clothing.

Our first dusting of snow.

I think he's wondering why its snowing already, too.

Back porch.
Thanks again for all of your support over the past few days. And thanks for coming back :)

Poll/Trivia

First, I wanna thank you all for your support. Your comments on my last post were amazing and really meant a lot to me. My grandma was a very important person in my life.

Now down to business. Who would ya'll like to see fall off the map?
As I suspected, Justin Bierber took this one home. I personally voted for Lady Gaga, but its ok, JB annoys me, too. Did you know that he is one of the most popular Twitter users, though? He has something like 5,500,000 followers. Crazy. A lot of people give a shit about him, which is weird to me.

New poll is Which is your favorite social network?

Anyways, Thisisme won the trivia challange. The question was What was the python's name in the novel 'Jungle Book'?

She guessed Kaa and was 100% correct! Go check out who she picked to be on the Giggle Button!

Until next week....

Notice of Absence

At 8:30 this morning, I lost a wonderful woman in my life. I lost someone to look up to, someone to laugh with, someone to talk to. I lost a woman that would sit in the kitchen and tell me about all the stuff she used to get into when she was younger and then scold me for doing the same things. This morning, I lost my grandmother.

Last year she was diagnosed with skin cancer. She beat the cancer, but her health went down hill from there. She hadn't been able to get out of bed for a few weeks. This morning she took her last breath and left this world for another, better place.

I probably won't be blogging much the rest of the week. I will try to log in tomorrow to change the poll and the Giggle Button, but that's it.

Alone Time

Let me start off by saying that I love love love love love Boyfriend. Got it? Ok good. Then let me say that we spend pretty much every weekend, all day, every day together. Every Monday, Boyfriend has to work night shift. So he doesn't get home until around 11:00.

Monday evenings are pretty much the only time I get ME time. And if you've read my Pep Talk post, you'll appreciate this more.

I came home from work and immediately went to the backyard with my dog and sat in complete silence whilst enjoying the cool fall breeze.

Then I went back inside and had freakin OREO.CHEESE.CAKE for dinner. I did not have to cook anything.  I know, I know. I was supposed to STOP eating sweets. But come on...oreo cheese cake?

Next I took an awesome bubble bath. Then I watched like five episodes of Veronica Mars. Okay, I know I said I would quit watching TV series on Netflix just because they were sitting in the queue, but I can't help it. Veronica Mars should have never been canceled.

Would it be a surprise if I told you that I'm really bad at keeping New Year's resolutions?

After that, I read all of my favorite blogs until my laptop decided it had had enough. It died on me and now I'm typing this on Boyfriend's laptop.

At about 10:30, I was texting Boyfriend telling him to hurry home because I missed him.

One evening alone a week is all I need.

Oh and I got my hair highlighted over the weekend! So at least I stuck with a couple of promises I made to myself :)

Now for the trivia question!

What is the name of the python in the novel 'Jungle Book'?

As always, first to answer chooses who goes on the Giggle Button for a week.

I Feel Like Dancing

One of my best friends is a Zumba instructor. He has been doing Zumba for years and about two years ago started his own class. He even teaches Aqua Zumba which I’m kinda excited to try.

I have never in my life tried Zumba and until he came to visit recently, I never really had an interest in it. I haven’t seen him in a while, due to him living in another state now, teaching first graders full time, working as a bartender part time and of course his Zumba. When I did see him, I could definitely tell that his exercise was paying off.

So we were hanging out, having a few drinks and talking about old times when he jumped up, grabbed my hand and said, “Let me teach you my new routine!”

I was a cheerleader many moons ago and was excited to jump at the chance to learn some new choreography. I stood beside him in my living room, a little tipsy from one too many Sweet Tea Vodka’s and lemonade, and waited for the music to start.

He put on a remix to Tik Tok and began shaking his rock hard bootie. At first he started out slowly and was teaching me the moves, which let me tell you hurt like hell, but then he got impatient and just started doing the dance while I very pathetically tried to copy.

He would throw up his arms, swing his hips, turn around and touch the ground and I’d be just getting to the throwing my arms up part. So then I just kinda gave up and started doing pelvis thrusts towards him. And trust me; friend does not like female pelvis thrusts if ya know what I’m sayin’.

Thrust the pelvis.

Then every time the song would say, “Party don’t stop,” I would stop dancing and throw my hand out in front of my body like this...

And friend would say, “It says the party DON’T Stop. Stop stopping.”

I looked like a fool, I’m sure. Luckily no one was there to watch the humiliation. Except him. And now he keeps making fun of me. Then he told me that if I could get enough people, he would teach a class in my town. I looked at him and said, “What the hell would I want to do that for? This shit is ridiculous." I wanna try this next time.

He told me if I bought the pole, we'd dance.

And no matter how much friend tries to talk me into it, I will never ever ever take a yoga class.
Nope, not doing it.

But seriously, all joking aside, the reason I was posting this was to tell anyone that wants to try Zumba to do it. It was a great workout and really fun. Just don’t let my friend be your teacher. He’s kinda mean. I was sore the next day, but I didn’t stretch and I probably overdid it. Stupid delicious Sweet Tea Vodka.
