5 Things That Drive Me Crazy: Shopping Edition

'Tis the season to be shopping! Since some people are already getting into the holiday spirit and started their shopping already, I thought I'd bring to you the reasons why I usually shop online!
Other Shoppers- I don't care where you go, others shoppers suck. They are in the way. They stop in the middle of the isles to browse instead of scooting over so people can get around them. Their children hide in the clothes racks and scare the shit out of you. The dressing rooms are always full. And if you're anything like me, you wanna get what you need and get the hell out. Other shoppers slow you down.

Check Out Lines- Why, oh why, do stores have 50 registers but only open 5 of them? Especially during the holidays?!? And the people that go through the express lanes that have way more than 25 items. That is absolutely infuriating.  Even the clothing stores usually only have 2 registers running and that really blows when you are just trying to buy the $10.00 scarf you are hoping will suffice as a gift for your aunt.

Poor Customer Service- Because I could go on for days about this, just please refer to this post.

Noisy Shopping Carts- I am one of those people who absolutely cannot pick out a shopping cart without some kind a defect. Sure, the ones that pull to the side are a nuisance. Or the ones that seem to have their brakes on. Or the wobbly ones that make you look drunk while you are pushing them. But the worst ones are the squeaky carts that everyone turns to look at when you come down the isle.

Out of Stock- Ok, so you've got your entire list done and that one thing that you really really really want is completely out of freakin' stock! I tried for three months to buy a black comforter at Wal Mart. They kept saying they were out of stock. I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and a couple of other places and NO ONE had a black comforter. Seriously? It's not like I was asking for a comforter with turtles that had wings plastered on it and a nice rainbow back drop. I just wanted black. I ended up ordering the damn thing online. Also, I can never ever find the shoes that I want in my size. I normally settle for shoes that I really don't even like. My size must be popular or I just have shitty luck.

And this is what I will face today. I WILL have it done today, oh yes I will. Anything left will come from my re-gift pile or my closet.

Agreed. With everything. I made the dumbass decision to go into NYC last year on Black Friday.. not even to buy anything, just to walk around show my FI the city, and I almost had a conniption. I don't do well with masses or (generally stupid) people.

Poor customer service is a huge pet peeve of mine! We're going to need a bigger slice of that pie set aside for those jerks.

I'm doing some pimping today and you're one of my bitches! Aren't you excited? Come check it out on my blog www.abitchcalledmom.blogspot.com.

Now get out there and make us some money!

Soooooooooooooo true. I hate shopping at Christmas.. but love it too. The worst part of it all at Christmas is everyone is wearing bulky coats, so everyone is hot, cranky and bulky, bumping in to each other... makes me cringe thinking about it!!

Because of my short fuse and even shorter lack of patience, I shop online for everything and get money back in a check.

If you want to know what I do, email me. bouncinbarb1960@aol.com

Seriously, I hate shopping. Can't take crowds and ignorant people. Loved your post.

Glad you all enjoyed and joined in on my bitch fest! I actually have to go out tomorrow and pick up some things. I'm sooo not looking forward to it. Like at all. I may just stay in bed :)

You are so right, on all counts! I too do a lot of my Christmas shopping online. I also go to the local peddlers mall, because I have a couple of friends with weird funky taste like me;) One thing I really hate about shopping: People that run into friends and have family reunions in Walmart and block an entire aisle with their little love fest! ARGH!

Couldn't agree with you more. I hate shopping from here on in until Christmas. Buy most of my pressies on line - so much simpler, and I get to do it all from the comfort of my own home!

I always thought every woman loved to shop except me. I have been proven wrong.

I'm with you, especially on the other shoppers and customer service. Most of my money goes to Amazon!

I swear to Jeebus the shopping carts in Australia (aka trolleys) have oil or wax on their wheels...they slide EVERYWHERE. My whole body gets a workout at the grocery store because as the cart gets heavier, it takes more strength to push it properly! Hey...instead of Zumba, maybe we can make a shopping cart exercise craze! You with me?
