It's Monday and I wish it was still Sunday

I had such an amazing weekend that it would take me forever to type it all out in story form so here it is in bulletin points!

  • Slept in until 9:30 on Saturday!
  • Headed to Dad's house
  • Arrived to see that Dad had redecorated his house. Looks great!
  • Filed my taxes. Woo Hoo for getting money back.
  • Booked our hotel for Niagara Falls in May
  • Dad got us one hell of a discount by flirting with the lady on the phone.
  • Staying in Niagara for 4 days is only costing us $297.00
  • Boyfriend said the price to have a whirlpool in our room was too much.
  • I pouted.
  • We played darts and I didn't hit the wall once.
  • I did however throw a dart the wrong way and the wrong end stuck in the dart board. (The flight wasn't on it...so totally not my fault.)
  • Boyfriend and I left and then went grocery shopping.
  • The grocery store was packed and was making me angry.
  • We left with a buggy full of groceries for $192.
  • We got home and unpacked everything.
  • We had tacos for dinner.
  • Boyfriend then proceeded to eat every thing we had just purchased.
  • I had to ban him from the kitchen.
  • We watched Inception.
  • It was confusing as Hell.
  • We played Lego Batman until we were both too tired to keep our eyes open.
  • I slept in until 10:30 on Sunday! Way too late.
  • We made biscuits and gravy and home fries for breakfast. Complete with chocolate milk.
  • We decided that the negative 4 degree temperature was just too much to handle and that we would not leave the house.
  • We didn't.
  • The entire day.
  • We played XBox.
  • We watched Vantage Point.
  • We watched Lie to Me
  • We fought over Gushers. And I won.
  • We played Munchkin.
  • We had Fruit Loops for dinner.
  • We watched some SNL on Netfilx
So now here I am on Monday morning, sitting at work, and wishing I was still hanging out on the couch with Boyfriend. It's not often we get to do nothing. It was awesome. How was your weekend?

Don't forget to enter the giveaway!! The winner will be announced this Friday!

Sounds like a great weekend!

Friday wasn't awesome - had to take the boys to the vet for teeth cleaning and found out that some teeth had to be removed.

Saturday & Sunday all four of us (boyfriend and two dogs) stayed in bed watching either Battlestar Galactica or Eureka on Netflix. We'd only get out of bed for a quick snack, bathroom break or getting dogs their meds.

It was a very relaxing weekend (and yea it was WAAAY too cold here to even consider going outside)

Sounds like a really good weekend to me, Jumble. I love how you have detailed it all out like that! We had a bitterly cold wind over the weekend, so I didn't venture outside, only to pick up the paper. Spent a while on my Wii Fit which I'm getting hooked on, and just generally relaxed. Lovely!

I giggled my way through this whole post.

Brilliant.

My two favorites were the darts ["and I didn't hit the wall once." My hero]

And fruit loops for dinner.

Sounds like a perfect weekend. Except for the cold. That sucks. But you made the best of it!

YAY!

The only time I am any good at Darts is when I close my eyes and DON'T try. Go figure.

Friday night - pajama party, pizza, strawberry cheesecake ben & jerry's ice cream, pink tutus, rock music and no grown ups allowed. :o)

Saturday night - wine, bubble bath and only grown ups allowed.

Sunday - slept in, had breakfast and coffee waiting for me.

Great weekend!

I love weekends like that. And.. yea. It's too cold to function lately. Hibernation is underrated, we should all do it.

I a great weekend! My band played Friday night to an excellent crowd, we sold lots of merch and ate with friends after the show. Saturday was my best friend's birthday. We went bowling, then we all went back to his place to eat and drink. Sunday was relaxing on the couch with Hubs :)

It could be that I'm Australian and don't get it...but your Sunday breakfast sounds a little gross! Other than that - great weekend. I love dads who can bargain things down for you - they should always go with you when you are making large purchases!!!

P.S. Again with the buggy - I love that you call shopping trolleys buggies!!! LOL

your weekend sounded absolutely lovely and very chilled. I took Holly to horse riding on Saturday morning then Jack and I were "models" for two hours in the afternoon while the very handsome John took our photos...mmm every time I looked at him I wanted to smile but I had to look very serious instead, quite hard to do when you are a smiler like myself lol

Then Sunday I spent panicking over the fallout from said photo and article in the paper but hey it wasn't too bad! Sunday evening Holly and I had a chinese takeaway...........yum yum :)

@Sam-Staying in bed with dogs, BF and Netflix sounds awesome. We NEVER stay in bed all day but we do lounge around and abuse the gift that is Netflix

@Thisisme- Thank you! It was. Good to hear that you like your Wii Fit!

@Skippy- Thank you! Playing darts was pretty fun and comical as well.

@Teresa-Thank you! Fruit Loops are the best.

@Daffy- LOL...well I will remember to steer clear of you while you throw darts. Sounds dangerous. That pj party sounds AWESOME.

@CBG- Wow, really? I think we are pretty boring, but hey, it works for us!

@Jen- Thank you and welcome!

@Steph- Totally agree. Wonder if my boss will give me time off for hibernation?

@Not the hero-Work sucks! Sorry about that!

@Bubbles- Aw that sounds great. I wish weekends were longer.

@Julie-Disney Store?!?! Totally jealous!! Sounds like you had a great weekend.

@Barb- It was, thanks!

@AMC- Nice!! I bet you its awesome to play in front of a crowd! You guys need to venture up my way!

@Lottie- Not gross at all! Very yummy in fact. Probably loaded with a million calories, but very good. I think its cute that you call them trolleys! hehe

@Lyndy- Sounds like a great weekend, despite the fallout!

@Ingrid- Isn't Lie to Me awesome?! I'm completely hooked to that show. And boo that you can't have fruit loops!

Tress said...

@Becca- Yeah he tends to get discounts that way a lot.

The flirting bullet point begs for more of an explanation – maybe a series of posts. :)
